Diddy's really doesn't stop

Sean Combs told us back in the 90's that he wouldn't stop. But who takes dudes that shimmy in shiny silver lame' suits seriously? Even those of us in the hip hop community thought it was only a catchy hook in the 112 song that made it famous. But apparently it wasn't. In fact, it was a promise.

This one-time back up dancer for Father MC (Yes, that is him in the back in the 'Treat 'em like they want to be treated' video with Jodeci) and Howard University drop-out started Bad Boy back in 1994 as a record label, but he has expanded his brand into his clothing line, Sean John, a wildly successful unforgettable fragrance line, a reality show 4 seasons strong with Making of the Band 4, Restaurants, clubs and is now acting on both Broadway and film.

Who knew that 14 years, and 4 stage names later(Puffy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy...) Sean Combs and BBWEG (Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group) would be pulling 300 million in annual revenue?

This season of Making of the Band 4 was one of the most successful to date. And the success of this season has helped his girl group, Danity Kane skyrocket to their second Billboard no. 1 album.

Danity Kane's 'Welcome to the Dollhouse' was released March 18th, and is actually great album. The uptempo tracks are fire, the ballads are mellow and full of soul. Its definitely an album you can listen to from start to finish.

Day 26, Diddy's other making of the band group, just released their self-titled debut album. It is also a good first effort for the young brothers. Its not quite as polished and smooth all the way through as the DK album, but its a good first shot out the gate.

It will be interesting to see how the record sales play out with both albums being released so closely together. My money is on Danity Kane's album chilling in number one for a little while. But either way, no matter who takes top honors, if they are both in the top ten, Diddy still wins, no matter what.

Its a testament to his business savvy. And he is not yet even 40. And even after he does turn 40... 50... even 60... I dont see him stopping anytime soon.
